Carla Watkins is a photographic artist working in the realms of fantasy, magic & imagination, and different ways to look at the world.
Carla approached me looking for a bespoke illustration of her carousel horse, Stardust, to use within her branding. She was able to supply me with various photos of Stardust and I used these as a reference to create the illustration. We wanted him to be drawn in the style of a stamp, which I achieved with clean shapes and bold outlines. I also created a black and white version of Stardust which can be turned into a physical stamp for inking and printing. For the colour version, we stuck to Carla’s existing brand colours.
Carla was happy with the end result and said ‘thank you so so much, for such a brilliant interpretation of what was in my head, and also for your epic amounts of patience :)’
